August 6th, 2009 - It's all in the gears! If you have ever driven a 77 Trans Am - you know that they are not necessarily a fast car in stock configuration - at least compared to what most consider a sports car today. In an effort to give it a little more "Get Up and Go" - Mark changed the stock 2:56 ratio rear end gears to 3:42 and rebuilt the transmission. During the process he put in a mild shift kit and gave the torque convertor a 2100 stall.
